Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and phone number (required for verification via Clerk).

Business information: If you choose to provide it, we collect details about the business you are selling — asking price, years in business, annual revenue, and a free-form description. All fields are optional.

Search data: We store your business type and zip code to generate your buyer contact list.

Usage data: We log actions taken on the platform (searches, emails sent, logins) for security and abuse prevention.

IP address: Recorded at the time of Terms of Service acceptance for legal compliance.

3. Contact Data (Third-Party Buyers)

Silver Surf sources contact information for potential buyers from licensed third-party data providers. This data includes names, business email addresses, phone numbers, and company information that is publicly available or obtained through licensed data partnerships.

This contact data is used solely to facilitate outreach on your behalf and is never sold or shared with third parties outside of the sending infrastructure (Instantly.ai) required to deliver emails.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform and send outreach emails on your behalf
• To personalize email templates with your business details
• To enforce platform limits (one account per person, one search per account)
• To detect and prevent abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Authentication and identity verification provider
• Database and cloud infrastructure provider
• Email delivery and tracking provider
• AI model provider (for email template generation)

Each service is bound by its own privacy policy and data processing terms.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
